Welcome to Sampoorna Yoga
The Yoga of Fullness

At Sampoorna Yoga, we believe yoga is not just something you do – it’s something you live. Rooted in the Sanskrit word Sampoorna, meaning “complete” or “whole,” our mission is to support your growth on every level: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. We offer a balanced blend of ancient yogic wisdom and modern teaching methodology, crafted to inspire transformation and empower lives.

A Global Presence, A Singular Purpose

Since our founding in 2008 on the serene shores of Agonda Beach, Goa, Sampoorna Yoga has grown into a global yoga education movement. Today, our teacher training programs are offered not only in Goa, but also online, and at beautiful international locations like Bali and Costa Rica.

Wherever we are, our intention remains the same:

To train confident, compassionate, and competent yoga teachers who can go on to serve millions.

Our Vision

To create a new generation of yoga teachers who not only master the techniques of yoga, but embody its values — serving their communities with clarity, authenticity, and heart.
We see a future where yoga reaches every home, and where millions benefit from the guidance of skilled, well-trained yoga professionals.

Deepak Sharma

Deepak Sharma is the visionary founder and director of Sampoorna Yoga, established in 2008 in Goa, India. With over 30 years of personal yoga practice and more than 25 years of teaching experience, Deepak has played a pivotal role in shaping the journeys of over 15,000 yoga teachers worldwide.

His introduction to yoga came at the age of 12, assisting his father in community yoga workshops—an experience that sparked a lifelong passion for the transformative power of yoga. A defining moment in his spiritual journey occurred at age 24 when he encountered the Bhagavad Gita, inspiring a profound shift in his life’s direction.

Prior to committing fully to yoga, Deepak pursued a successful career in engineering. However, his deepening spiritual practice—shaped by the teachings of Swami Sivananda, Swami Satyananda, Swami Niranjanananda, Osho, and Goenka Ji of the Vipassana tradition—ultimately led him to establish Sampoorna Yoga.

Under his leadership, the school has expanded far beyond Goa, offering internationally acclaimed teacher training programs in Costa Rica, Bali, and through online platforms—all designed to blend traditional yogic wisdom with modern teaching methodologies.

His unwavering commitment to sharing the essence of yoga, meditation, and spirituality—without seeking anything in return—makes him a true example of selfless service.
